Barbara Graves The Komen Race for the Cure is the largest series of 5k runs/fitness walks in the world. In 2004, Little Rock participants of the Race for the Cure raised 1.2 million dollars. Proceeds from the Komen Race for the Cure help fund important breast cancer research as well as breast health initiatives on a local level. 75% of the proceeds remain in the local community where the race is held.
